are endless and the only limit is ones imagination.
PSUSD College & Culture Tour
Our annual College & Culture tour serves as a unique opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to explore higher education institutions while immersing themselves in the cultural richness of different communities. Previous trips have entailed visiting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSI). Students visit a variety of campuses ranging from state schools, public, private, small, and large campuses. These tours not only aim to broaden students' academic horizons but also to instill a sense of belonging and aspiration by showcasing the vibrancy of diverse campuses. Culturally, while on tour students visit a variety of museums, smithsonians, cultural, and historical sites like the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.
PSUSD is proud to be sponsoring an Epic combined Spring Break 9-Day college tour for our students to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The purpose of these tours, during 2025, is to inspire, motivate, and encourage students of color around higher education. It’s all about creating opportunities for students. While transportation, lodging and meals for the tours are covered by the district, students' optional out of pocket expenses while traveling are not. You can support our students while traveling by making a tax-free donation to The Foundation for the Palm Springs Unified School District, where 100% of funds will go directly to students.
