The Foundation manages and administers scholarships established by generous members of the community for the benefit of PSUSD students going onto higher education. Individuals and philanthropists in the Valley looking for strategies to benefit youth have partnered with The Foundation to open opportunities for students to realize their dreams.

Captain Tim Rodriguez Public Safety Academy Scholarship Fund
Application Deadline - April 30, 2024
Fire Captain Timothy Rodriguez, a 19-year veteran with CAL FIRE, was killed in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2023, while fighting a wildfire in Riverside County.
A $2500 scholarship is available for a senior graduating from the Desert Hot Springs H.S. Public Safety Academy who is interested in pursuing a career as a firefighter.
Keisha D. Scholarship Fund
Application Deadline - April 30, 2024
The Keisha D. Scholarship is to be issued to under-served minority students who are interested in pursuing their education in music & performing arts.
Janice Sullivan Scholarship Fund
Application Deadline - April 30, 2024
The Janice Sullivan Scholarship is to be issued to a student who is currently encountering financial hardships due to a medical condition pertaining to themselves or that of an immediate family member in their household.
Tom Lynch Memorial & Robert Mainiero Fund
Application Deadline - April 30, 2024
Tom Lynch scholarship is designated for a Cathedral City HS senior who displays vocational interest in the fields of engineering or the construction industry with financial hardship, and has a grade point average of 3.0 or above.
The Robert Mainiero Scholarship is open to any PSUSD graduating senior interested in pursuing education in STEM with financial hardship, and has a grade point average of 3.0 or above.
Rita Wood Scholarship Fund
Application Deadline - April 30, 2024
The Rita Wood Scholarship is to be issued to a student who's Father/Mother or Guardian are a current Classified PSUSD Employee.
PSHS Students Only

The Jacques Caussin Scholarship is to be issued to Rancho Mirage & Desert Hot Springs High School Students who have participated in the SMART Mentorship program.
The Sal Mistretta MTU Scholarship Fund

The Sal Mistretta Scholarship Fund is to be issued to a student enrolled in Musical Theatre University and pursuing further education in Musical Theatre.
Jo-Alice Canterbury Scholarship Fund

The Jo-Alice Canterbury Scholarship Fund is for students that would like to further their education within a Trade School or Certification Program.
A trade school, sometimes referred to as a vocational school, technical school, or vocational college, is a post-secondary institution that's designed to give students the technical skills to prepare them for a specific occupation.
Certificate programs prepare students for specific careers, but additional testing and credentialing may be required for certain jobs. In some cases, certificate programs can also serve as exam prep for professional licensure.
